DTG or Direct To Garment is the recent printing development that makes you print directly to a garment. Often, we see computer printers directly printing to paper. DTG is the printing process that publishes now on textiles using a particular inkjet printer. Inkjet started with paper printing, but this time it has a unique flat table that firmly holds the garment. The table with the garment passes through the ink jet spray, where printing the computer image on the garment is done. The process is similar to paper printing, and the only difference is that, this time, the print is on the garment itself.

The design is laid out on the PC and transferred directly to the paper. Before, a unique invention converted the improvised printers by placing a table directly on the computer printer feeder.

The feeder, which used to have paper inserted, now prints directly to the fabric through the feeder table; this is digital printing; therefore, the quality is higher than silk screen printing. The DPI (Dot Per Inch) is higher than the screen print. Thus, a sharper image reflects on the printed garment.

Screen printing uses a screen and a pallet to paint the colors to the shirt, and the process is tedious since you have to fit the screen to the slot on the design where you want to paint a specific color. With DTG, multiple-color printing is possible and easier to operate.
